for Sixth Year
Ranked 34th Best in the United States
Durham, N.C., Feb. 13, 2008 – BÖWE BELL + HOWELL, a leading
provider of document processing and postal solutions, has been ranked
by Training magazine as being among the nation’s top 125 companies
for employer-sponsored training and development. This year’s placement
of 34th marks BÖWE BELL + HOWELL’s sixth appearance on the
prestigious list and an improvement of 11 positions from its 2007
ranking. Training magazine sponsors the review and hosts an annual
ceremony recognizing the award recipients.

Each Training Top 125 company was measured on quantitative and
qualitative data. Influencing factors included training tied to
business objectives, number of trainers, employee turnover and retention,
leadership development, tuition assistance and corporate university
programs. An outside research and statistical data company scored
the applications, which were then subjectively reviewed by Training
magazine editors.
“This award is not about the dollars we invest in training, though
for a company of our size, the investment is considerable,” said
Cary Disney, manager of training for BÖWE BELL + HOWELL. “It’s
really about the programs and how we establish a link between the
training we offer and the performance measurement results that impact
the bottom line.”
The company’s BBH University program provides technical, business,
leadership and management skills training, and professional and
career development for more than 2,000 associates in North America.
In addition, BBH University also trains customers to run sophisticated
