The popular CEMA Slitting & Rewinding and Coating and Laminating
Seminars attracted more than 100 participants to the two-day event
last year, the first time it was co-located with CMM. Previously,
it had been held at nearby hotels during the Show, as well as at
other times during the year.
In addition, AIMCAL has announced plans to increase the size of
its Coating & Laminating Pavilion at CMM in 2009. The first
Pavilion was launched at CMM 2003 with a handful of exhibitors and
has since grown to more than two-dozen companies in 2007. Dozens
of other AIMCAL members also exhibit at CMM in larger booth space
throughout the show floor.
As an Endorsing Association, AIMCAL also produces educational seminars
for the CMM Conference Program that are always among the best-attended
sessions.
As part of the expanded cooperation between AIMCAL and CMM, the
association will also provide a regular column and other editorial
content for CMM’s expanding online publications. Both organizations
will explore jointly sponsored educational opportunities throughout
the months leading up to CMM International 2009.Meanwhile, CMM will
play a greater sponsorship role at AIMCAL and CEMA events year-round.
“CMM is a valued partner as they provide several benefits to our
members,” said Craig Sheppard, AIMCAL Executive Director. “The seminars
provide members with the insights they need to perform their jobs
more effectively while the exhibits and machinery on the Show floor
let them experience the technology in action.”
These sentiments were echoed by MaryBeth DeWitt, CMM Show Director,
who added, “AIMCAL provides the technical expertise and educational
value that is so important to our attendees. We look forward to
expanding our combined resources to educate and inform the converting
industry."
