Public Auction Sale Of Major New York State Commercial Printing & Bindery Company

General Business Supply, Inc. known in the trade as Tech Valley Printing has ceased operations at its manufacturing facility in Watervliet, New York. Daley-Hodkin LLC (“DH”) has been selected to conduct a Public Auction Sale, on April 16th at 10:00 am of the Company’s machinery and equipment.

The public auction will be conducted live at the Company’s Watervliet facility, and will also be simulcast worldwide over the internet, DH is currently in discussions with the landlord regarding the additional offering of the Company’s assets in their entirety, together with the lease of the building.

GBS was recognized as a premier domestic northeastern U.S. printing service provider. The Company, which was founded by John Smith in 1984 and has been a leader in the northeastern graphics market occupying a 160,000 square foot facility outside of Albany, and provided extensive printing services including: multicolor books, brochures, maps, envelopes, newspaper inserts, business advertisements and business cards.

GBS’ fully installed and ready to operate facility will be offered in its entirety and in individual lots at the public auction sale. When questioned about the upcoming auction, Daley-Hodkin’s President, Morris Hodkin was very excited about the prospect of offering the fully equipped facility for sale. Mr. Hodkin said there has been a lot of interest generated by the preliminary advertising and he was confident that based on the extensive list of equipment available, the Company’s reputation in the industry coupled with the fact that it operated until February 8, 2008 and its prime location, which is within the hub of the northeastern market, the auction will draw substantial interest from the graphics industry.

Daley-Hodkin, has been conducting industrial auction sales and appraisals since it's formation in 1972.
