Xerox 8265 Color Wide Format Printer Receives “Best of Show” Honors at On Demand

BOSTON, March 5, 2008 – Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) received a Best of Show Award for the Xerox 8265 Color Wide Format Printer at the annual AIIM/On Demand Conference and Exposition, a major event for the document imaging industry. The Best of Show Awards program recognizes innovative technologies in nine different categories.

InfoTrends, a leading market research and consulting firm for the digital imaging and document solutions industry, partnered with the On Demand Conference and Exposition to produce the awards program. The Xerox 8265, a winner in the wide-format printing category, is designed for commercial print providers, copy shops, graphic design agencies, sign shops, display companies and in-plant operations.

“This award recognizes Xerox’s commitment to providing our customers with innovative technology to help them capture new business in the growing digital marketplace,” said Valerie Blauvelt, vice president of marketing, Xerox Production Systems Group. “The Xerox 8265 opens up an entirely new set of high-value print jobs for customers looking to complement their current capabilities or enter the expanding graphic communications color wide-format market.”

Compatible with a wide range of media types, the Xerox 8265 produces vibrant graphics on indoor and outdoor point-of-purchase displays, banners, signs, posters, life-size photos and floor graphics. The printer uses a combination of inkjet technology and environmentally friendly eco-solvent inks, which means no ventilation or air purification systems are required during production and prints can last up to three years without lamination. Piezo-electric, drop-on-demand inkjet heads with dynamic variable dot imaging and intelligent interweaving print technology deliver sharp images, smooth color transitions and increased performance with higher firing frequencies. These technologies combine to enable lower ink consumption and keep costs down.

In addition to the award-winning Xerox 8265, Xerox is showcasing a variety of technology at its On Demand exhibit booth (No. 1449) including the flagship Xerox iGen3® 110 Digital Production Press, Xerox Nuvera® 288 Digital Perfecting System, Xerox DocuColor® 8000AP Digital Press and Xerox 495 Continuous Feed Duplex Printer. Also on display are Xerox FreeFlow® Digital Workflow Collection and ProfitAccelerator® Digital Business Resources.
