Marketplace
WEYMOUTH, MA -- April 16, 2008 -- In an InfoTrends report released
March 19th, Press-sense iWay technology was identified as the leading
implemented or planned to be implemented e-business solution. The
multi-client report, titled “E-Enablement - The Future of Graphic
Communications,” surveyed more than 170 corporate buyers and 188
print services providers, along with profiles of innovative print
service providers that are exploiting e-business to grow their business.
According to the report, when asked “Which of the following vendors
do you use (or plan to use) for print e-business software?,” in
total, more than 18% of respondents plan on implementing solutions
driven by Press-sense technology versus the 23 top named offerings.

In addition to be being marketed by Press-sense, Press-sense iWay
is the underlying technology for Océ PRISMAweb and Xerox
FreeFlow Web Services solutions, and was adopted in early March
by Presstek to offer to their customers. For more information about

InfoTrends Data Analysis
“The benefits accrued by print service providers as a result of
implementing print e-business services are clear,” commented Alex
Sumarta, Associate Director, InfoTrends. “More than 60% of respondents
indicated that these services improved their business, and another
54% reported margin improvements since implementing print e-business
solutions, with average margins up over 7%. In addition, nearly
a quarter of respondents reported revenue increases in excess of
10% that are directly attributable to their print e-business offerings—this
is well above industry growth levels.”
Press-sense Quote
“There are numerous web solutions in the market, but none with
the flexibility and scalability that iWay offers. Press-sense iWay
manages the entire print operation from a request for a quote all
the way through to delivery and billing,” said Amir Shaked, President
of Press-sense America. “With consolidation and increasing market
demands for shorter turnaround times, print businesses are quickly
realizing that Business Flow Automation is more than just a store
front solution, but a complete business solution. The InfoTrends
report just reconfirms the market’s need for solutions that support
their production and business workflows alike.”
About Press-sense iWay
Press-sense iWay, the flagship product in the Press-sense Business
Flow suite, is a complete, Web-based, end-to-end, print-on-demand
workflow and management solution that allows users to create, customize,
order, print and deliver in one streamlined operation. In addition
to the basic iWay platform, add-on modules are available for extra
functionality, making it scalable from small shops to large, complex
operations. iWay is available in a stand-alone, hosted or multi-site
configuration. Ease-of-entry options have a well-defined upgrade
path that allows the solution to grow as the user’s business expands.
Press-sense Manager
Press-sense Manager is a straightforward print management solution
that enables small and mid-size printers to capture and control
analog services (phone, fax…) and input the data into their business
flow. It combines MIS, CRM and asset management functionality to
manage the job cycle at an affordable price -- enabling printers
to have confidence in the profitability of a job. Unlike solutions
that have grown from estimation tools into management information
systems (MIS), Press-Sense Manager was designed from the outset
to meet the specific print management challenges faced by small
commercial print houses and print-on-demand suppliers.
Press-sense Omnium
Press-sense Omnium is the optimal Business Flow Automation solution
engineered exclusively for print businesses. It provides critical
data on all business and production processes - in real time. Recognized
as a winner of 2006 and 2007 “Must See Em” awards at Graph Expo,
Press-sense Omnium integrates, streamlines and automates the entire
print house operation, including sales, production, MIS and finance.
Built on a JDF-based data structure, Press-sense Omnium is the only
solution that fully automates the process of converting customer
intents into comprehensive production and fulfillment plans. It
completely automates the flow of business information and data.
About the Report
According to a new multi-client study from InfoTrends entitled,
E-Enablement - The Future of Graphic Communications, nearly half
of print service providers are offering these services, with another
third declaring intent to offer them within the next 24 months.
Print service providers who offer these services report that about
14.3% of print volume comes through their Web-enabled system, and
they anticipate that up to 45% of their print volume will be submitted
via the Web-enabled system by 2010. This reflects remarkable market
acceleration in adoption rates for print e-business services.
InfoTrends’ new study provides a complete understanding of the
impact that e-business is having on today’s market and what effects
it will have in the future. It provides context and direction setting
for print service providers, enterprises, equipment suppliers, and
solution participants across the industry value chain. For more
