Record Number of Participants Attend North American
Conference of Graphic Users Association of KODAK Solutions
ROCHESTER, N.Y., MAY 2—More than 300 members of the Graphic Users
Association (GUA) of KODAK Solutions gathered last week at the Wynn
Las Vegas to learn about the latest techniques, products and best
practices for advancing their graphic communications business.
The GUA’s annual North American Conference, sponsored by Kodak’s
Graphic Communications Group, included 50 presentations and roundtable
discussions. Subject matter experts from Kodak and the GUA exchanged
information with attendees on a wide range of topics, such as workflow,
color relationship management, growing a digital print business,
the impact of offset class inkjet, sustainability, transitioning
from a printer to marketing services provider, trends in MIS, utilizing
social networking trends for business purposes, and dozens more.
Attendees had the opportunity to talk with developers from Kodak
about their experiences with the company’s software and suggest
enhancements that would benefit their operations. Users also could
participate in hands on demonstrations of Kodak’s newest workflow
and ecommerce solutions, as well as the KODAK NEXPRESS M700 Digital
Color Press.
“This year’s conference was our biggest and best yet,” said Tom
Clifford, GUA President. “This annual event is unlike any other
in the industry, with participants gaining unfiltered access to
executives and product specialists from Kodak. Most important, the
team from Kodak does more than provide a forum for users to provide
input—they genuinely listen to our feedback and take it into consideration
when developing new products and features. Membership in the GUA
delivers an exceptional return on investment and I encourage all
customers of Kodak to join.”
In its 13th year, the GUA serves more than 4,000 members from 80
countries.
“For our customer focused organization, the North American GUA
Conference provides an invaluable opportunity to receive data and
comments directly from users,” said Dave Wigfield, Managing Director,
United States and Canada Region, Kodak’s Graphic Communications
Group. “This input helps us make strategic business decisions based
on the needs of our customers.”
