Servinform Selects Two KODAK VERSAMARK VX5000 Plus
Printing Systems to Provide Telefonica Movistar Customers with Color
Transpromo Printing
High Speed Production of Customer Statements
LA HULPE, BELGIUM, May 14 — The Servinform Group, a premier service
provider in the transactional print market in Spain, has recently
installed two KODAK VERSAMARK VX5000 Plus Printing Systems 4/4W
featuring four-color, two-up duplex printing, to become one of the
leading suppliers of TransPromo material in Spain.
The KODAK systems will initially be used for the high speed production
of Telefonica Movistar TransPromo customer statements. The installation
of the systems was completed in approximately five weeks and, working
with the marketing group at Telefonica and Servinform, Kodak’s international
team is helping Telefonica produce approximately 20 million A4 pages
per month in full digital color.
Telefonica, already an important customer of Servinform for black
and white applications, operates within a highly competitive pan-European
market and is seeking to grow its market share. Both companies have
worked closely with Kodak to define their requirements and identify
how best to implement dynamic messaging with dynamic variable color.
The result has been a sophisticated integrated customer communication
campaign designed to foster more comprehensive customer loyalty.
“The Kodak Versamark VX5000 Plus Printing System fulfils our technical
and economic requirements and it is a technology that is recognized
worldwide,” says Nacho Rufo, Sales Director at Servinform. “Telefonica
was in total agreement with us in choosing this technology. The
KODAK Equipment has quickly become a vital part of the drive to
grow within the transactional sector, and at the moment they are
being used to output customer’s statements in full color. We purchased
two systems to provide back-up support and to provide capacity to
handle demand at peak times.”
The Kodak Versamark VX5000 Plus Printing System is ideal for high-volume
production of a wide range of variable data applications including
transactional documents, direct mail, print-on-demand, books and
newspapers. Designed for high duty cycles, the VX5000 Plus produces
100% variable data in black, spot color or process color (depending
on configuration). Printing at speeds up to 750 feet per minute
(228 metres per minute), the VX5000 Plus Printing System can easily
handle the highest duty cycles at more than 3.078 A4 impressions
per minute with an exceptionally low cost per page. The VX5000 Plus
System incorporates a new high resolution capability that is the
latest development in Kodak’s rugged and reliable Continuous Inkjet
Technology.
Mark Clark, Regional Business Manager EAMER, Inkjet Printing Solutions
at Kodak comments, “The recent installation at Servinform, and the
work we are doing with them and their customer Telefonica, demonstrates
how we are able to help our clients change the landscape in customer
communications. We believe that the Kodak Versamark VX5000 Plus
Printing System is the perfect solution for the rapid production
of a wide range of high-quality color output and that it is ideally
suited to the many growing demands of the TransPromo market.”
