Specialty Print Communications Adds KODAK Solutions at Print
09
CHICAGO, Sept. 15—At Print 09, Kodak announced that Specialty
Print Communications (SPC), a national print company and full-service
direct mail production specialist in Niles, Illinois, purchased
a KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 Digital Production Color Press and a KODAK
VERSAMARK CS410 Controller. The company is extending its range
of KODAK Solutions, which already includes two KODAK NEXPRESS
2100 Digital Production Color Presses, three VERSAMARK CS410 Controllers,
and eight KODAK VERSAMARK DH6240 Printheads.
“The KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 Press addresses SPC’s commitment to
data-driven, personalized communications to grow our business,”
said Dustin LeFebvre, Executive Vice President of Strategic Initiatives,
SPC. “The NEXPRESS capabilities, including Dimensional Printing,
enable us to bring our clients marketing solutions that drive
engagement and interactivity, are targeted and relevant, and increase
return on marketing investment.”
SPC has expanded significantly over the past year, acquiring
Michigan-based Batson Printing in early 2009 and opening a new
lettershop facility four months ago. The new equipment purchased
from Kodak at Print 09 gives SPC a competitive advantage in the
market. The KODAK NEXPRESS 2500, with the KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth
Imaging Unit Solutions, gives SPC the unique Dimensional Printing
capability, while the additional VERSAMARK CS410 will increase
SPC’s productivity with its stable of VERSAMARK DH6240 Printheads.
“KODAK NEXPRESS Presses, and unique KODAK Solutions like Dimensional
Printing, help print and marketing service providers differentiate
themselves in the market and deliver more value to their clients,”
said Kevin Joyce, Worldwide Vice President, Sales and Marketing,
Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak. “Everything we do at Kodak
is about being the best partner to help our customers grow their
business.”
SPC offers a wide range of product- and service-based solutions,
from web, sheet-fed, and digital options to a host of inline capabilities,
as well as book printing, distribution, and fulfillment. It is
a privately held, family-run company.
The KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Platform enables
print providers to deliver unique applications, drive more print
volume and higher margins, and grow their businesses. All NEXPRESS
Presses are upgradeable, allowing customers to leverage existing
investments.
KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions deliver unique capabilities—including
the award-winning KODAK NEXPRESS Dimensional Printing Solution,
spot color, protective coating, and glossing—that extend the value
of digitally printed photo products. NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit
Solutions also rely on press profiling and standard inks to match
